Roles and Responsibilities—The Client or Representative
The client makes the choice on whether to receive nurse delegation. The client must be
informed of care options and give written consent to nurse delegation.
For in-home settings, the client, or his or her representative, is responsible to report when
a caregiver is absent or fails to perform a delegated task to the delegating RN, the case
manager, or a supervisor if the caregiver works for a home care agency
